Carol Wood

Costume Shop Director

Carol Wood is a professional pattern-maker/draper and has been teaching garment cutting and construction for decades. She is known for recreating, wearing, and writing about historical garments and costumes. Her work has been honored with awards, shown in galleries, worn to period events, appeared on the stage, and escorted down the wedding aisle. Carol was a draper in San Francisco Opera’s Costume Shop for 11 years and has been a corsetry instructor for the past 15. Her motto: Lace it tighter!
